BOTOX® Cosmetic FAQs

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription drug that, when injected, temporarily paralyzes muscles. BOTOX Cosmetic injections treat moderate-to-severe facial lines and wrinkles that are formed by continual muscle contraction. Treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic is the most popular physician-performed nonsurgical cosmetic procedure in the United States.

According to its manufacturer, Allergan, Inc., “BOTOX Cosmetic is the first and only FDA-approved prescription product that temporarily improves the appearance of both moderate-to-severe frown lines between the brows and moderate-to-severe crow’s feet in adults.”

Botox/Dysport/Jeuveau/Xeomin – $14-15/unit

Minimally invasive injectable treatment that relaxes facial muscles and can help decrease the appearance of wrinkles, creases and fine lines. Will leave your skin looking youthful and renewed.

Price is $15 per unit for Botox/Dysport/Jeuveau.  $14/unit for Xeomin.  If treating 3 most common areas (forehead, frown lines (11s) and crow’s feet), most people require 40-60 units.

Dermal filler – $700+

Injectable hyaluronic acid filler can enhance thin lips, soften facial creases, remove wrinkles, add volume to cheekbone areas, chin and jawline, treat perioral lines, and reduce the appearance of frown lines.

Lip Renewal – $700+

Using dermal fillers, this treatment will leave your lips looking voluminous and youthful.

Radiesse – $900+

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are dermal fillers that are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.

Hyperdilute Radiesse can also be used in the neck and various areas in the body including the abdomen, buttocks, legs and arms.

Use in other areas can be discussed with provider.

Chin/Jawline Renewal – $900+

The use of dermal fillers in the chin and jawline area can add volume and help improve chin and jawline contours and lower face laxity and jowls.  Price may vary based on individual needs.
